Armed with cutting-edge equipment and advanced surgical techniques, the Titusville Area Hospital (TAH) surgical team is prepared to perform a variety of in-depth surgical procedures. Most of our operations performed at TAH are on an outpatient basis, meaning the patients are not admitted to the hospital and are typically able to return home after the surgery.
For your convenience, your surgery and outpatient visits are in one easy location, TAH. The operating room is located on the ground floor of TAH. The out-patient office is located on the first floor.
Laparoscopic Procedures
These are surgeries specifically designed to be minimally invasive, with a quicker recovery time. In the procedure, a long, thin camera is inserted through a small incision and examines the patient internally. This provides doctors with a chance to see the inside of the body in real time without having to make a large incision.
Open Surgery
This is the traditional surgical procedure in which an incision is made over the area in which the surgeon needs to operate allowing the surgeon to visualize the area of concern. A doctor will almost always recommend a laparoscopic operation over open surgery if possible as it carries less risk of infection and shorter recovery time for the patient.
