Titusville Area Hospital is proud to announce that its Imaging Department has been designated a Lung Cancer Screening Center through an accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR). ACR accreditation is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging and confirms that TAH’s CT imaging services meet rigorous national standards for image quality, patient safety, radiation dose optimization, and staff qualifications.
This accreditation will allow for lung cancer screenings in the TAH Imaging Department, a service made possible through the use of its Philips Incisive CT unit installed in 2022. This advanced technology allows the hospital to provide low-dose lung cancer screenings and high-quality diagnostic imaging close to home.
“We are pleased to receive this accreditation from the ACR Committee and grateful to our dedicated imaging staff who made this achievement possible,” said CEO Lee Clinton. “Our goal is to continue providing high-quality screenings so our patients can get the answers they need close to home.”
This achievement ensures that patients throughout the Titusville community and surrounding areas have access to high-quality lung cancer screening close to home.
