Titusville Area Hospital marked Donate Life Month with a meaningful Spirit Week held April 6–10, aimed at raising awareness about organ donation and encouraging community members to register as donors to give the gift of life.

The week kicked off with a sweet start, featuring cookies from Warner’s Bakery at Coffee Days Co. On Tuesday, staff and participants contributed to a colorful handprint banner in the cafeteria using blue and green paint, Donate Life colors.

A highlight of the week took place Wednesday during a flag-raising ceremony featuring guest speaker Shanen Lazenby. She shared her family’s powerful story about her father, a double organ transplant recipient whose life was extended by six years thanks to organ donation.

Today, Shanen and her family continue to honor his legacy through their “Score for CORE” golf outing, which raises awareness and encourages others to register as organ, tissue, and cornea donors.

“We were honored to have Shanen and her family here to share their story and how organ donation has impacted their lives, it was truly inspiring,” said CEO Lee Clinton.

The week continued with a fun photo booth on Thursday and concluded Friday with a “Blue and Green Day,” where staff wore Donate Life colors for a group photo. The raffle basket winner was also announced that day.

Overall, the Spirit Week was a successful effort to bring awareness to the importance of organ donation. A sincere thank you goes out to all TAH staff who participated and helped make the week impactful.
