Titusville Area Hospital Medical Staff Student Scholarships Announced

The Titusville Area Hospital Medical Staff recently awarded a total of $12,500 in scholarship monies to local students.

Faith Ames, daughter of Jeffrey and Elizabeth Ames of Titusville, is a 2021 graduate of Oil City High School. She will study Exercise Science at Shippensburg University.

Derek Beach, a 2021 graduate of Titusville High School, is the son of Aaron and Teri Beach of Titusville. Derek will study Accounting/Sports Management at Westminster College this fall.

Maria Burns, daughter of John and Jenny Burns of Townville, is a 2021 graduate of Maplewood Senior High School. She will study Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh Titusville.

Madison Crawford will study Pre-pharmacy beginning this fall at the University of Pittsburgh. Madison is the daughter of Brad and Carrie Crawford of Townville and a 2021 graduate of Maplewood High School.

Sarah K. Fisher will attend Carnegie Mellon University this fall and major in Computational Biology. She is a 2021 graduate of Oil City High School and the daughter of Susan and Shane Fisher of Oil City.

Adeline Hartshorne is the daughter of Joe and Kate Hartshorne of Titusville. Adeline is a 2021 Titusville High School graduate and will study Nursing at Saint Vincent College.

Kaitlyn Kinney, 2021 graduate of Titusville High School, and daughter of Jessica Stearns of Titusville. Kaitlyn will study Speech Pathology at Edinboro University.

Mackenna Marvin will attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy this fall. She is a 2021 graduate of Titusville High School and the daughter of Steve Marvin and Heidi Schweitzer, both of Hydetown.

Hannah Obert, a 2021 graduate of Titusville High School, will attend Robert Morris University in the fall to study Nursing. Hannah is the daughter of Jacob and Amanda Obert of Pleasantville.

Christa Schneider is a 2021 graduate of Oil City High School and will study Health Sciences at Penn State Behrend. Her parents are Karle and DeeEtte Schneider of Oil City.

Jacob Southwick, a 2018 graduate of Titusville High School, will begin his senior year studying Civil Engineering at Slippery Rock University. Jacob is the son of David and Lynette Southwick of Titusville.

Jessica Wagner, a 2021 graduate of West Forest High School, will study Health Sciences at Thiel College. She is the daughter of Deborah and Jeffery Wagner of Tionesta.

Brooklyn Wakefield, a 2021 graduate of Titusville High School, will study Nursing at Gannon University in the fall. Brooklyn is the daughter of Amanda Wakefield and Michael Wakefield.

In an effort to give back to the community, the Titusville Area Hospital Medical Staff has awarded scholarships to area students since 1980. The scholarships are funded by donations from the medical staff, and recipients cannot be dependents of medical staff members. Eligible students are those residing within the service area of Titusville Area Hospital, are pursuing post-high-school training, have been accepted by or attending an accredited school, demonstrate financial need, and show good moral character.

Scholarship application forms are available beginning each January at area High Schools or by contacting the Medical Staff Coordinator at the Titusville Area Hospital at 814-827-8924.
