TITUSVILLE AREA HOSPITAL RECOGNIZED FOR QUALITY CARE
Titusville Area Hospital (TAH) is proud to announce that it achieved a
maximum score in the Highmark Quality Blue Hospital Pay for Value Program.
The Highmark Quality Blue Program is a partnership between Highmark and
hospitals with the common goal of improving patient care and safety. The
program focuses on key healthcare quality concerns that have been identified
nationally as areas of opportunity for improvement including readmission
rates and hospital acquired infections. This program is designed to increase
the quality of care provided at a healthcare facility by utilizing best
practices and efficiency in patient care. This year TAH scored 110%, receiving
bonus points for exceeding benchmarks provided.
“This is a strong indication of the care provided at TAH,”
stated TAH Vice President of Patient Services, Brenda Burnett, RN. “Based
on the scores received last year, we implemented many initiatives and
processes to improve our score. The entire team worked hard and I am very
proud of what was accomplished in a short span of time.”
In a letter to TAH, Thomas Fitzpatrick, Highmark Senior Vice President
of Provider Contracting & Relations stated, “Your organization’s
efforts over the past year demonstrate a commitment to advancing a culture
of quality and safety for your patients, families and the communities
you serve.”
