If you have the time, there are all kinds of ways you can help Titusville Area Hospital fulfill its mission of providing the best possible care for patients. The Titusville Area Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit organization formed to aid, support and promote the hospital.

MEMBERSHIPS
Two types of memberships exist:
Active Member-Accepts responsibility for regular service to the Auxiliary. (Annual membership fee is $10.) The amount of time you choose to volunteer is at your discretion-one hour a week, one hour a month, maybe just one special event a year.

Sustaining Member-Has an interest in the Auxiliary, but does not wish to serve in any capacity. (Annual membership fee is $15.)

MEETINGS
The entire Auxiliary meets twice a year in May and October, usually a luncheon meeting.

COMMITTEES
Membership Committee-Maintains list of members, collects dues.

Finance Committee-Prepares annual budget, arranges for annual audit, concerned with all fiscal matters of the Auxiliary.

Floor Service-Helps patients in the morning, provide fresh water, deliver newspapers to patients, and assist nurses by making charts.

Ways & Means Committee-Uses budget from finance committee to prepare programs and/or projects to raise the required money.

House Committee-Observes and evaluates the needs of the hospital and reports on such to the Auxiliary Board. Makes purchases as approved by the Executive Committee with the advice and assistance of hospital president.

Volunteer Services Committee-Staffs the Escort Desk,  Snack Shop and provide services on the nursing floors.

Publicity Committee-Keeps the public informed of Auxiliary activities through news releases. Prepares publicity for fundraising and special events. Maintains scrapbook.

Memorial Committee-Receives memorial gifts, sends out acknowledgments and maintains record of gifts.

Scholarship Committee-Selects and presents name(s) to Auxiliary for approval.

Social Committee-Plans Auxiliary meetings, including notifying members, taking reservations and arranging meeting details.

Volunteer Training Committee-Plans and arranges for regular training programs to be offered at specified intervals or as needed.

Car Seat Program-Keeps records of outgoing/incoming infant car seat rentals, orders seats, liners and accessories as needed, and cleans returned seats.

Sibling Class -Presents classes to expectant parents and children age three (3) and older in birth of new family member.

Legislative Committee-Concerns itself with all legislative matters that affect the Auxiliary and the Titusville Area Hospital and disseminates the material.

Health Promotions-Concerns itself with all health promotional material that affects the Auxiliary and Titusville Area Hospital and to disseminate all mateirals in a report to the Auxiliary.  Helps coordinate community blood drives through the Hospital's blood supply provider, Central Blood Bank.

Sitters Program -Visits and sits with patients.

There are also other ways that the Auxiliary helps such as stuffing and labeling envelopes and assisting the Community Relations and Foundation staffs with special events. If you have questions about becoming involved, you may contact the Community Relations staff at Titusville Area Hospital, who can refer you to the appropriate Auxiliary contact.
