ABOUT TITUSVILLE AREA HOSPITAL
Since the very day we opened as the "City Hospital" in 1901, Titusville Area Hospital has been growing and changing to meet the needs of area residents. In the beginning, care was provided by a handful of doctors and nurses. Many of the ill and injured arrived by way of horsedrawn ambulance. In the first six months, the new hospital treated 48 patients.
Today, Titusville Area Hospital is an acute care facility serving residents in a four-county region. We have earned a reputation for offering high quality, cost-efficient care and are committed to continuously enhancing medical services to meet changing needs. In 2001, Titusville Hospital received national recognition as a "100 Top Hospital" in the United States.
Titusville Area Hospital is far more than just a building. It is a community of professionals trained and devoted to caring for people. Highly skilled physicians, representing a wide range of specialties, are closely associated with the hospital. They are supported by an excellent staff of nurses, aides, technologists and many others who play important roles in the care and treatment of patients. Even as they benefit from advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, patients of Titusville Area Hospital can be certain of receiving personal, "high touch" care.
